Semi-Trailer Stands Under Every Load, Every Time to Prevent Semi-Trailer Accidents
Semi-trailer stands are a vital party of loading dock safety. Forklifts loading or unloading “spotted” or un-hitched semi-trailers, put a lot of stress and inertial force onto loads and landing gear. Trailer tipping or upending is a dangerous situation that can injure workers and cause damage to cargo and materials. Semi-trailer stands prevent these dangerous scenarios from happening by fitting snugly under the semi-trailers at your dock by helping meet OSHA 1910.178(k) (3) safety requirements. Having IWI semi-trailer stands under every load, every time is the best prevention.
Easy to position by all workers, the IWI Auto-Stand is a great solution for you loading dock. Trying to decide between the Auto-stand and Auto-stand Plus Model? The key difference is the working height. Auto-Stand has an adjustable working height of 42.5”-52.5” while the Auto-Stand Plus has an adjustable working height of 38” – 48”. The Auto-Stand has smaller wheels, at 10” diameter, than the Auto-Plus. The frame dimensions are the same between the two models. Each is outfitted with a different safety mechanism. This requires more bending on the part of the worker using the Auto Stand with a pin instead of an ergonomic lever of the Auto Stand Plus.
